This is one of those "makes you think" illustrations. It would appear that the boy is wondering if he should invite Jesus into his life or risk prison's suffering just because he won't quit smoking. And, a person, young or old, can be in "prison" and not even be in an institution.
It is an honor and humbling to be on some of the pages here where many times my labored art is positioned right next to an artwork created by one of the masters. I try to create artwork that illustrates a utilitarian approach for those of us who can benefit from viewing several of our basic social behaviors that are destructive. Humor is good for getting serious messages and concepts across to the young mind and the immature mind. A pleasure indeed to be here, Michael.
